History of Chi Iota Iota

In the summer of 1993, a group of 43 members of Omega Psi Phi came together to charter a new graduate chapter to be located at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. This group comprised United States Military personnel stationed at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, and brothers in Columbia, South Carolina.

The purpose behind the new chapter was to create a new venue for men of like attainment & high aspirations to employ their collective efforts to provide service to the greater Columbia area. This newly chartered group openly welcomed the members of Omega Psi Phi and vigorously supported all nationally mandated programs. We have grown to initiate several community outreach efforts that perpetuate our chapters’ legacy of lifting as we climb.
